Rope workshops are back at Dynamo! Join us for an introduction to rope bondage - this class will serve as a beginners' class, as well as a way to meet prerequisites for future advanced learning. In this workshop, rope educators Clyde and Olive will start with a demonstration using various rope skills - both ones you'll learn in this class, and more advanced techniques you can build towards. They'll also go over consent expectations in rope play. Clyde and Olive will discuss rope theory, as well as the types of rope you might want to use in play! This hands-on class will include rope foundations like single column ties, and simple body manipulation with single, one-rope exercises.

Come with a friend or partner to practice with, or if you'd like to come solo, you'll be able to practice on your legs. All are welcome! Whether you're starting your rope journey, or just want to brush up your skills and meet others in the community, join us for this long-awaited class!

One length of 8mm rope is recommended to practice with. Bring your own or preorder a discounted rope (at $5 off the regular price) with your ticket! We'll have those rope preorders ready for you at the start of class.

All attendees must purchase a ticket, whether you are tying or being tied - space is very limited. :) 

This class is open to all genders and sexualities. Class size limited, we expect this class to sell out.

Because of the hands-on nature of this class, it will be offered in-person only, with no recording. We do expect to repeat this workshop, and build upon its foundations, if the community interest is there!

About the Educators:

My name is Clyde, and for over a decade, I've immersed myself in the intricate world of rope bondage. Throughout my journey, I've traveled abroad, exploring various styles and techniques to expand my repertoire. My passion lies in sharing this knowledge with my community, promoting a safe and educational foundation for all practitioners. Whether it's exploring the sadistic aspects of rope, delving into rope photography, or simply enjoying bedroom fun with individuals of different body types, I strive to make rope bondage accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Through teaching and sharing what I've learned, I hope to inspire others to explore the diverse and enriching world of rope bondage.

Hi, I’m Olive! I’ve been involved in shibari/rope bondage now for seven or so years, mostly experiencing it as a bottom and self-tying. Intrigued by the dynamics of both sides, I particularly enjoy understanding rope from the top's perspective and integrating those experiences into my own insights for bottoming and teaching. In classes, I aim to empower individuals within the community by providing them with a thorough understanding of rope and the way it interacts with their body. I hope to help folks foster body awareness and learn to advocate for themselves as bottoms in order to create a space where everyone can explore rope bondage with confidence and safety awareness.
